California, June 26: The company licencing software customised for TIMBERWeb’s etrading platform has been named the global market leader for eCommerce applications in the year 2000.

Ariba, with revenue from its applications of US$375 million, was named in a report by industry analysts IDC as the undisputed leader in the eProcurement arena, with 36 per cent of the worldwide buy-side eProcurement market sector.

TIMBERWeb, the world’s leading B2B eMarket for timber, lumber and forest products, uses Ariba Dynamic Trade software for its eTrader online timber buying and selling platform.
