TIMBERWeb has produced a new guide to the key tree species used in the production of lumber and wood products.
The pictorial guide will help buyers and manufacturers learn more about the species they are working with, and help sellers who can email details of the species they specialise in to potential customers.
The guide includes all major hardwood and softwood species, and has details of a wood's working properties, its origin, physical properties and technical specification.

Australia: Timber pests a threat to lumber export future Timber diseases and pests are a threat to the future expansion of Australia’s lumber export trade, researchers said.
